Indiscipline has crept into Nigerian secret police otherwise known as Department of State Security, DSS, as top directors now demand sex from female subordinates, set suspects free for a fee, and sell classified information to politicians, pointblanknews.com investigations reveal.
Top on the list of culprits are Anambra State Director of Security (SDS),Shina Adeleke Yahaya Hassan and his assistants, Femi Akinrilola.Pointblanknews.com investigation revealed that the State Director Hassan, often deploys two of his officers,  Chibuike Udechi and Mike Owoh to blackmail politicians in the state,  as well as sell them classified information.

It was revealed that Udechi and Owoh, had in the run-up to the 2019 elections sold classified information to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Vice Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi. Another politician who paid heavily was Ifeanyi Ubah, now senator representing Anambra south.

Both officers reportedly collected N5 million each from Obi and Ubah. They were said to have got 30 percent cut.

Aside selling “Intel”, Yahaya Hassan and his “boys” at the Anambra state command, according to an insider familiar with the deals,  also  bug the telephone lines of prominent political  and business figures and sell same to their rivals.

To be eligible for security details, which is increasingly becoming a status symbol in Anambra State,  Hassan makes political and business moguls who want SSS details pay as much as N1 million for each detail.

“The worrying spin is that the SDS now prefers Yahoo boys and drug barons because they often pay that kind of money to get security protection without complaining. He has ruined the reputation of our cherished organization because of his insatiable appetite for money,” an operative who does not want to be named for his, safety told Pointblanknews.com.

So fixated is Yahaya Hassan on pecuniary benefits that be has scant regard for top government officials entitled to VIP protection,  another source offered.

It was revealed that in October 2019, Minister for Labor and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, was forced to sleep in a hotel in Owerri after Yahaha Hassan refused to send his security details to escort him to Anambra State.

According to a source privy to the scandal, it took the intervention of the Director General of the DSS before a detail was provided for the Minister the following day.

“Because the, SDS claimed Ngige is stingy,  he left the Minister stranded in Owerri without a detail. It took the intervention of our DG the nest day before a detail was assigned to the Minister,” the source told Pointblanknews.com.

Sources knowledgeable about happenings within the DSS told Pointblanknews.com that Yahaha Hassan aka “SAY Hassan”  shielded one Nonso who shot and killed one Onyeocha Umuokwu, a middle aged man in Alor, Idemili South local Government, Anambra State on December 25, 2019. Incidentally,  Ngige hails from Alor.

The DSS had in a statement signed by it’s spokesman Peter Afunaya, denied that Nonso, a DSS operative killed Onyeocha, saying officers of the DSS are “professionals and as such won’t use their weapons on innocent cows of civilians.”

Pointblanknews.com gathered that thet a DSS operative called Nonso who was trained by Hassan in Kaduna  and is regarded as one of his trusted “boys”, pulled the trigger of the gun that killed Onyeocha.

“Yahaya Hassan has commercialized operations of the DSS in Anambra state same way Bashir Dawaki did when he was in charge of Bayelsa State, ” a, source offered.

While Yahaya Hassan rampages, another Assistant Director, Femi Akinrinola is reportedly battling a testosterone challenge.

He is accused of demanding sex from his subordinates either married or unmarried and victimizes them when they turn him down.

Said another source, “His major problem is women. He wants to sleep with all the ladies in the command particularly the married women.  He removed one very dedicated officer Nkemdiri from his section simply because she refuse to mess around with him. He sent her to Dunukofia LGA, replacing her with Cynthia who is in operations.

“Cynthia spent only four weeks in Security Enforcement department before another redeployment- just because she refused to sleep with Femi,” added the officer.

He continued, “One Nneka in the registry now is being  forced against her wish by Femi to come and supply her body because she failed in his assignment to bring him female corpers while coming back from NYSC camp.”

Akinrinola, a former Chief Security Officer to former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, reportedly collected a N6 million bribe from the mother of one Adamu Sani, a notorious kidnapper, afterwards aiding his escape from the DSS detention in July 2019.

“After Adamu’s mother raised the N6 million, she handed it to Akinrionola’s proxies.  Few, days later, Adamu mysteriosly escaped from DSS detention, ” Pointblanknews.com checks revealed.

Meanwhile, Pointblanknews.com gathered that Bashir Dawaki has mounted an intense lobbying to return to Bayelsa after his friend, David Lyon emerged Governor of the state.
