Head of Moscow’s Tax Service arrested in bribery case

 

The investigation did not disclose details of the case.

The Presnensky court of Moscow arrested the head of the Federal Tax Service Inspectorate No. 24 for the Southern District of the capital, Maria Andreyanova, accused of receiving large bribes (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) until October 21, TASS reports this citing the court’s press service. The investigation does not disclose the details of the criminal case.

Andreyanova faces imprisonment of up to 15 years and a fine of up to seventy times the amount of the bribe.

A request for her arrest was accepted by the court on Friday, August 23. The decision was made on the same day.
