Al-Qods Force to Integrate With Hezbollah

Al-Qods Force, under the command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is trained to carry-out terror attacks in support of the IRGC inside Iran.

Our Lebanese sources told RPS that Al-Qods Force has suggested to integrate some of their operation structure with Hezbollah's under the command of Brigadier-General Faramaz Ghasem Suleimani, al-Qods chief commanding officer, for operations in Lebanon and on the border with Israel.

Some within Hezbollah's top brass, loyal to Syria, have expressed concern over the idea fearing that Iran's influence will be insurmountable should the plan be implemented. However, given that Hezbollah gets its financing from Iran, Nasrallah will have no choice but to comply with the demands of al-Qods Force.

Such plan, RPS was told, when implemented will dilute any influence Assad may have over Hezbollah in case Assad strikes a peace agreement with Israel based largely on the concept of Assad retaining control of and suppressing terrorism. If implemented, Assad's influence over Hezbollah will be relegated to the same level of influence the Siniora's government has over Hezbollah, which is exactly Iran's aim given the accelerated peace negotiations with Israel and Sarkozy's official visit to Syria last week.

It seems while France and Israel pay attention to Syria's Assad in search of solutions to the terror in the Levant, Iran is working rapidly to turn Assad into a powerless entity when it comes to unleashing more terror in Lebanon and inside Israel.
