How modern is the North Korean army? Does it have a chance against the US?

During simulation exercises in South Korea where I was “Red Team” utilizing all known NK Artillery forces, I destroyed every major city and military base in South Korea in exactly 22 minutes. We did several resets and I varied my initial target listings. Same result each time. Officers came into the cell and watched the final battle that “I” was part of. Needless to say I was sent to the blue force coordinating counter battery fires.

NK has a ton of artillery forces that don’t need to be modern. As a matter of fact, rockets and missiles are easy prey to counter battery fires. Where as traditional guns with max propellant are the most effective when fired in quantity at the initial onset. The 2ID is a brigade short but should hold enough for AF and Navy CAS and Fighters to begin there strike packages.

There is no such thing as an easy win in any theater, but I have no doubt that if we can neutralize the long range artillery and suppress their ADA, we should be able to hold SK. Their armor is no match against the M1A2, Bradley w/TOWIIB and javelin dismounts, or the SK K1.

Our biggest problem would be infiltrators and blown bridges that prevent our maneuvering to setup Support by fire and blocking positions.
